Mental Health and Wellbeing Community Investment Fund
We are pleased to announce the new Mental Health and Wellbeing Community Investment Fund, following agreement with Lincolnshire partners and as part of the Community Mental Health Transformation Programme. This brings together the Community Asset Development Allocation and the Managed Care Network, Mental health funding.
The Mental Health and Wellbeing Community Investment fund will be divided to form a large Sustainability Fund, and a smaller Innovation Fund distributed based on a weighted population health profile that aligns to the 7 District Council footprints to ensure equity countywide.
The Sustainability Fund, which will hold the majority share of monies, will be open to Lincolnshire VCSE partners on an annual basis with the allocation of funding for each individual project gradually decreasing by pre-determined proportions over a period of 3 years.
The smaller Innovation Fund will enable organisations to apply for smaller grants (from £1,000 up to a maximum of £10,000 (subject to review based on proposal and number of beneficiaries). Projects within the Innovation fund will be for a maximum of 12 months to pilot new and innovative ideas in their communities before seeking, if appropriate, to apply to the Sustainability Fund.
The funding available and the overarching aims of the fund will be to:
- To ensure that the funding available to support the growth and innovation of VCSE organisations to deliver projects for the benefit of those experiencing a mental illness or wellbeing need, can give the best return on investment.
- To ensure that support for smaller grass roots organisations to deliver and test out innovative ideas in response to local population need is not compromised.
- To further support the growth and sustainability of partner organisations to ensure that collectively we develop a mental health and learning disability and autism informed society and workforce.
- To ensure that all funding is aligned to clear objectives, able to evidence and demonstrate impact and delivery that is of benefit to the Lincolnshire Population which they serve and does not duplicate other funding streams such as Seasonal Pressures monies.
The application period will open on Wednesday 1st February 2023 for 1 month and will close at 5pm on 28th February 2023. We are holding information sessions where we will share all the information groups and organisations will need to make a successful application.
