A Statement from Good Things Foundation and The National Databank Partners, Virgin Media O2, Vodafone and Three. Our response to the unfolding crisis in Ukraine:
‘We’re deeply concerned about the unfolding humanitarian crisis in Ukraine and want to offer our support to all refugees arriving in the UK.
The UK National Databank, powered by Good Things Foundation and its partners Virgin Media O2, Vodafone and Three, will provide free mobile data to those escaping war and persecution, and who are seeking refuge in the UK.’
We invite all organisations who work with refugees to sign up to the databank.
We’ve put together a list of community partners in our network who might be able to offer refugees support during this challenging time.

PLEASE CAN YOU HELP US TO IMPROVE ANTICIPATORY CARE PLANS?
HWLincs is working with the NHS to conduct a new survey surrounding the use of and effectiveness of Anticipatory Care Plans. This is being shared across Lincolnshire Primary Care Networks and we would be really grateful for any support you could give us in sharing the survey with your patients or customers. By working collectively across the county we can gain the insights needed to improve this service for all who need it.
WHAT IS THE SURVEY?
Thinking Ahead – We want to know if patients’ health and social care needs are being covered by their individual healthcare plans.
An Anticipatory Care Plan is designed to help people to plan for their future health needs, including care and treatment. In order for this to be effective, we are conducting our survey to help gain insight into how this type of care plan is currently being used. We are therefore inviting any individuals or their carers who are either living with more than one health condition or disability, living with frailty and/or long-term conditions, or perhaps approaching the end of life.
We would like individuals to share views and experiences so we can help to shape services for the future.
The Anticipatory Care Plan survey is open from 10th June until 17th July. Here is the link: https://tinyurl.com/ACSurvey2022
Please do share this with your patients and contacts. The QR code is also attached.
We would also like to actively engage with individuals who are happy to share their experiences in more detail with us. We are looking for people to attend our focus groups and to participate in one-to-one interviews. These are informal, friendly and designed to understand how the Anticipatory Care Plan is working and how it can improve.
We are looking for up to 35 individuals across four focus group sessions and approximately 15 individuals for one-to-one interviews.
The focus group dates will be Thursday 14st July, Monday 18th July, Monday 25th July and Thursday 28th July – details of location/method and times to be confirmed – these may be face-to-face or over a video call.
One-to-one interviews will take place on Friday 15th July, Tuesday 19th July and Thursday 21st July – times and method of the interview will be agreed with the individuals. These interviews can be carried out over the telephone or via video call.
There is information on registering interest/consenting to these activities on the survey itself but please do mention it to your contacts and help us to identify suitable individuals.
To help you to raise awareness we have included some posters, which can be printed or used online. We hope you can display these for us in each of your sites and spread the word amongst your team.

MSK Pathway for Hip and Knee Services in Lincolnshire
A review in October 2021 identified that there were some areas within the MSK pathway that could be improved for patients who present with hip and knee issues.
The NHS is therefore improving and re-designing the Musculoskeletal (MSK) pathway in Lincolnshire. To help shape the future of these services, we are asking staff, service users, families, and carers to share your views and experiences.
We would like your views to help shape this service further so we can make it accessible to the whole of Lincolnshire. We would like views from all of our Lincolnshire residents, whether you have received MSK services or not.
Improved and personalised care for people is at the heart of this, promoting shared decision-making and self-management through early health promotion and prevention.
Public General Survey
Please could we ask for your help in promoting and displaying the poster and surveys, as appropriate. Please contact Nikki Pepper – Nikki.pepper@nhs.net if you would like printed copies distributing to you and Nikki will arrange to collect paper copies of the survey that have been completed.

It’s All About People Virtual Workshops!
We are running the It’s All About People Conference workshops again virtually over the coming months for anyone that missed them on the day or would like to attend.
Next month sees the first workshop I’m Here To Make You Better which runs on Monday, 27th June from 12 noon to 1pm. This workshop will explore what shapes and builds our strength-based practices, what our role is in ‘making people better’ and how what we say, and think, can effectively support people to meet their goals. Instead of choosing the ‘service-land’ approach, which can undermine resilience, strengths, and existing support networks.
If you’d like to book onto this, or any of the workshops, please email leccg.stp@nhs.net with your name, job title, organisation and which workshop you would like to attend. For more details about the workshops, please visit our Learning & Development page on the It’s All About People website.
