Co-production Group Recruitment

Lincolnshire Cancer Co-production – general group

The Managed Care Network is an alliance of county-wide community groups and organisations delivering a variety of support activities, services and projects which provide people with structure and choice in their lives contributing to individuals’ emotional wellbeing within their own community.
The Mental Health Promotion Fund that underpins this network is a partnership which has historically been provided by Lincolnshire County Council and Lincolnshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust (LPFT). The management of the network has now been handed over from LPFT to Shine Lincolnshire, and we excited to announce the launch of Wave 11 funding.
The funding aims to support people to live independently in their own homes and communities with access to a range of activities and services that promotes outcomes such as reduced social isolation, a safe non-judgemental space to support recovery and promote good mental health. Projects shall generally contribute to improved health, wellbeing, independence and choice for people with a mental illness including serious mental illness. This involves working alongside people with lived experience & partner agencies to ensure equitable access to community support services across the County.
Activities can include peer to peer support, sporting and other outdoor activities, creative art sessions, learning different skills, developing coping strategies, meeting new people, and taking on challenges.
Applications will also be considered which support project continuation, along with those that are able to demonstrate future service/business sustainability.
The application period will open on Monday 19th July for 5 weeks. We are holding information sessions where we will share all the information groups & organsiations will need to make a successful application.

Lincolnshire County Council want to understand people’s experiences of the services they provide to support people’s wellbeing. They have asked HWLincs, who manage the Healthwatch Contract in Lincolnshire to help them with this.
LCC are particularly interested in the views of people who may have extra needs including Physical and Learning Disabilities, Autism and Mental Health and equally interested in family members or carers who support a person with these conditions.
Your views about these services are important whether positive or negative as they will help Lincolnshire County Council plan and deliver services that make a difference to people’s lives.
The services involved are: Wellbeing Lincs; One You Lincolnshire; Lincolnshire Carers Service and Connect to Support.
There is a short survey that we would like you to complete to tell us if you have heard about these services and if you have used them, what you think about these services and did they meet your needs?
The survey can be found at https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/5WGPKM9.
If you need support in completing this survey please contact Tim by email: tim@hwlincs.co.uk or by phone: 07436 581995 who will support you in sharing your views.
Anyone can complete the survey, but we would be particularly interested to hear from people who feel they fit into one of the groups mentioned above.
We are aiming to set up focus groups for users of each of the services being reviewed and If you are interested in joining a one-off focus group to explain your views in more detail, please get in touch with Tim at HWLincs directly by using one of the above methods of contact.

The attached briefing paper provides further details on the proposals.
Further announcements are expected over the coming months as the current PHE functions are transferred to the new organisations. To help inform and shape the next steps DHSC are asking for comments and feedback on a series of questions (appendix A in briefing paper) by 26 April 2021.
We would like to submit a Lincolnshire system response to the consultation, which the Public Health Division will coordinate. To help collate the response, a feedback response form is also attached. Please can you send your comments to alison.christie@lincolnshire.gov.uk.

The Centre for Ageing Better want more people to be able to live independently in their homes for longer.
They would like to understand the challenges that people aged 50 to 70 years in Lincolnshire face when trying to improve their homes. The information they learn will help us to better the user experience and routes to safe, accessible and decent homes.
The Centre for Ageing Better, in partnership with Lincolnshire County Council, is holding a series of workshops with stakeholders who support people aged between 50 and 70 years in Lincolnshire.
They are keen to hear from the broadest range of service providers (including people from the voluntary sector and local government) because they know that people in Lincolnshire access many different services – some directly and some indirectly related to housing. In this project, they are taking a wider systems approach and therefore want to collect information from across the system.
These workshops aim to collect information about the broader issues that people in Lincolnshire face when trying to improve their homes (including but not limited to service signposting, accessing information and guidance, receiving financial advice, digital access experiences and the impacts of the broader environment surrounding homes). They’re also looking to gather information about potential solutions to these challenges. They will be using a person centered approach, incorporating the Lincolnshire based pen portraits/ personas from the recent IPSOS Mori research.
The workshops have been scheduled to take place via zoom on 29th March 10am-1pm and 21st April 10am-1pm. If you would like to attend please reply to amy.thomas@ageing-better.org.uk to receive a zoom link.
