Developing Social Enterprise in Lincolnshire!

LVET, on behalf of the Lincolnshire Social Economy Steering Group (LSEG), is leading on the development of a partnership with School for Social Entrepreneurs (SSE) to develop a social enterprise, peer networking programme for the Lincolnshire VCSE sector!

  • Lincolnshire’s Social Economy Strategy highlights the need for culture change, community empowerment and the ambition to ‘develop a Social Economy movement that is confident, coherent and wide-reaching’.   The initiative will complement the development of the Lincolnshire Social Economy Hub at Bishop Grosseteste University along with raising the profile of the strategy itself and its associated aims and policies.  The initiative will also create an opportunity to build a forum for Social Economy Leaders to support each other and come together to act strategically.  In addition, the initiative will align with and complement other work happening around social enterprise, including in the South and East of the county through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF) and the events hosted by Bishop Grosseteste University across the county too.

What is Social Enterprise?

Social enterprises are ‘businesses which trade for a social or environmental purpose’.
