Thanks to the people who could make it to the Challenges and Opportunities meeting we held in Sleaford on the 10th March. Whilst we may not be that much clearer on where we go from here or where other partner organisations are heading we did have some valuable conversations on what the uncertainty might mean for VCFSE organisations in the short, medium and long term.

If you weren’t able to make it don’t worry – there will be more opportunities to come together, in person, through the year to talk and share your thoughts on the challenges you all face and the opportunities that perhaps present themselves. We will share these with you and we do hope you can join us.

Paul’s immediate personal reflection was shared on LinkedIn after the meeting, however whilst we were still in the room, LVET committed to continue creating ‘spaces’ for conversation as well as improving the way we share what we do find out, when we find out anything, with members. One way of doing this is through ‘Briefing Papers’ summarising key things we feel are of importance. We will find a way to share these papers – either through the weekly update or by creating an ‘online space’ where you will be able to find the things we share as well as where you can add content or questions too – because we know you can’t always ‘be in the room’ when we have conversations. Any documents we mentioned will also be added to the ‘Strategies Whiteboard’ which can be found on the member resources page of the website.  For now, these are some briefing papers that may be of interest:

You asked that we continue to be your champion, a role we are very pleased to take on and we think there is also something we can do to help each of you to be champions for each other as well as to find better ways to feed back to you all – to be the conduit between you, our members, and our statutory partners, commissioners and funders.

You also shared with us that you would like to ‘get round the table’ with the ICB and other commissioners and decision makers. We have already begun a conversation with one commissioner around how we create a safe and trusting space where we can all meet and share our ‘realities’ and think together about how best to support the social care, health and wellbeing of communities. We are also excited to share that we are inviting contributions from members, partners and others to a collection of writings that capture the feelings, fears and hopes of people working to support wellbeing, health and social care in Lincolnshire in this period of significant change. Where do we go from here?  will bring together ideas from across ‘the system’, and make them widely available, in the hope that they will stimulate collaborative thinking and bring people together with shared ideas or outlooks and help to create a new direction for the way we do things in Lincolnshire. Look out for the invitation coming shortly.

We will continue to reflect on the conversations and think about how we take on some of the challenges around workforce, around visibility and around shaping our own future. The slides from the session are available to download here though be aware that thing smay already have changed since we got together.

Where do we go from here visual (1500 x 1200 px) (1920 x 800 px)

A call for reflections across Lincolnshire’s health, wellbeing and voluntary community.

Across Lincolnshire we know that so much is changing.

For those working in health, wellbeing, social care and the in voluntary, community, faith and social enterprise organisations, the pace of change can feel significant. Systems are shifting, roles are evolving, funding is tightening, all while expectations continue to grow. For many individuals and organisations, this brings a sense of uncertainty and at times, pressure.

But within that uncertainty, there is also something quieter and something that can be often overlooked. A moment to pause, reflect and imagine what comes next.

We’re inviting your voice, thoughts and vision.

At LVET, we are bringing together a new publication and we need to know what you have to say:

Where do we go from here?

This will be a thoughtfully curated collection of:

– Essays
– Creative writing
– Reflections
– Poems

All capturing the real experiences, emotions, challenges and hopes of people working across Lincolnshire’s health, wellbeing and social care landscape.

We’d love for this to be an opportunity to document a moment in time through the experiences of those living and working within it.

Why does this matter?

In a time of ongoing transformation across health and social care in Lincolnshire, it is easy to focus only on strategy, delivery and outcomes. But behind every service, every organisation and every system change, there are people each with their own perspective, insight and lived experience.

This publication is not about polished reports, formal responses or having the right answers, it is Instead about honest reflections on what this moment feels like. Offering a diverse perspective from across this community as well as providing ideas and insights that may inspire new ways of thinking.

We hope that by creating a space to share openly, we can strengthen collaboration across organisations, encourage innovation within communities and build a more connected and resilient future for Lincolnshire.

How to contribute:

We are keen to hear from a wide range of voices across Lincolnshire, including:

– Voluntary and community organisations
– Health and social care professionals
– Community leaders and grassroots groups
– Council officers and elected members
– Local businesses and partners
– Individuals with lived experience or a story to tell

You are welcome to submit:

– A reflective piece
– An essay or opinion
– A poem or creative response
– Or any form of written or visual contribution that feels authentic to you

Submission guidelines:

– Up to 1500 words
– Any tone or format
– Personal, professional or creative

Please send your contribution to: hello@lvet.org
Subject line: Where do we go from here?

A final thought

You do not need to have all the answers and you do not need to write perfectly. What matters is your perspective, your experience and most importantly your voice. Because the future of health, wellbeing and community support in Lincolnshire will be shaped not just by systems and strategies, but by the people within them. And this is your opportunity to be part of that conversation.

About the role]]>

About the role

An important element in the Integrated Care Board’s Digital Inclusion Strategy is supporting people to make the most of digital access and tech enabled care.  The Project Coordinator role will support existing, and new, digital champions to come together in a supportive network enabling new training, peer to peer support, and the sharing of tips and information.   We’re looking for someone that’s great at bringing people together and coordinating the sharing of knowledge and expertise.

About the programme

The Digital Champions Programme aims to reduce digital exclusion in relation to health across Lincolnshire.  It will support people to get online safely, build confidence using digital tools, and access essential services like the NHS App.  The programme will do this by working through trusted community volunteers (Digital Community Champions) based in places such as community hubs, faith centres, foodbanks and local organisations.

Why are LVET hosting this role?

LVET are hosting this role because our members already work in local communities and support volunteers, and many already have Digital Champions.  We are independent and can help connect organisations and people, share good practice, and support both new and experienced champions with training and guidance, creating a network where everyone can learn from each other and feel part of something biggger.

Do you have Digital Champions?

If you already have Digital Champions in your organisation, we’d love to hear from you so we can include them in the network.

Digital Champion Coordinator (4)

Christmas Day Lunches and Provision over the Christmas Period 2025 with logo

This year, as in previous years, we are collecting and collating information on organisations and places that are offering support, warm spaces, safe spaces or meals, over the Christmas period. This year, we are working with Shine Lincolnshire and the NHS to ensure that this information is shared as widely as possible, so that no one has to be isolated or alone. Below, we have included the dated boards with providers listed. If possible, we will include contact details as well as any other useful information. New providers will be added as they come in, so keep checking back to see if provision in your area has been updated.
