Understory Mapping
In partnership with LVET, we are delighted to announce that Children’s Links will now be mapping community action in Horncastle, and Tonic Health will now be mapping community action in Spalding.
Using a tool called Understory, we will map and explore the connections that lie between different organisations who work in this area, for the benefit of the community. The map will enable us to see what goals everyone is working towards and whether stronger links could be built in certain areas. It will also help identify who we need to talk to in each section of the community, to make sure as many groups as possible are represented.
The map will help us to understand social capital in our area, and the wealth of relationships and connections between each organisations which we know to be present, but often cannot see. The map will be a collaborative tool for all those working in the sector to enable better cohesion and collective working. The map will also be available to view publicly, however individual names and organisations will be anonymised. We held the first mapping workshops in Horncastle and Spalding in September 2023 with people from those communities inputting into the map.
The second and final workshop will look at the benefits of the map as well as understanding the map better – it is open to anyone and you don’t have to have attended the first mapping to come along – will be great to have you there!
For Horncastle, the second mapping will take place on Wednesday 17th January 2024 2pm – 3.30pm over ZOOM and would be great to have you there – sign up now! register now!
For Spalding, the second mapping will take place on Wednesday 15th November 2023 at 1.30pm – 3pm. This will be at Tonic Health Hub, Spalding or over ZOOM if unable to get here – register now!
