Dementia Conference, ‘We Have to Do Better’, (Wednesday 11th October 2023 at Bishop Grosseteste University in Lincoln), hosted by Lincs Independent Living Partnership (LILP); a consortium consisting of Age UK Lincoln & South Lincolnshire, St Barnabas Hospice, LACE Housing Association and Lincolnshire Housing Partnership.
The event will provide some key information and data around dementia and showcase all of the fantastic care and support services which are available for people living with dementia and their carers in Lincolnshire, including Age UK Lincoln & South Lincolnshire’s brand new dementia support service, ‘I Forget’ (delivered in partnership with LILP). The day will include various presentations from key partners in the health and care system, as well as a special presentation by bestselling-author Dr Wendy Mitchell, to give us some insight into the experience of someone living with dementia, and a performance by ‘Our Dementia Choir’, as seen on the BAFTA-nominated BBC One documentary.
