Health Inequalities VCFSE Grant Fund
2025
This round is all about working together. We’re inviting voluntary, community, faith and social enterprise organisations across Lincolnshire to come together in collaborative bids that tackle health inequalities in bold, community-led ways.
We know that many groups face barriers to funding – especially those supporting people at the intersection of multiple challenges, like older carers or Gyspy, Roma and Traveller Communities in rural areas. That’s why we’re championing inclusive, co-produced solutions that reflect the real experiences of our communities.
Why Collaboration Matters
Traditional funding models often put organisations in competition – stifling innovation and limiting the chance to learn from each other.
This year, we’re trying something different.
Our collaborative approach is designed to:
- Champion co-production with people who have lived experience
- Build trust and shared ownership across the sector
- Reduce duplication and encourage complementary working
- Enable joined-up responses to complex, overlapping issues
- Support smaller and underrepresented groups to have a real voice
Even if groups apply individually, the ideas will be shaped collectively – with live experience at the heart of every proposal.
The Collaborative Process
This is more than just a funding process – it’s a pilot approach to test a new, inclusive way of working. We’ll be learning along the way what works, what doesn’t, and what could work better and hope this will influence future funding too.
Getting Ready
We’ll lay the ground work for what’s to come – there’ll be some online Q&A sessions to join if you have any questions, encourage organisations to come along to the collaboration days and recruit people with lived experience.
Collaboration Days
There will be two collaboration days – one online and one in person. We’d strongly encourage you to come in person if possible – being in the room helps build stronger relationships, spark new ideas and create real momentum. Further details will follow!
Co-Creation
Groups will develop their proposals together.
Pitch to Panel
A short application form would be submitted along with a short pitch to the panel. Don’t worry – we’ll support you with what you need to include! Pitch to Panel date is 10th September 2025.
Funding Decisions
Decisions will be made by the group on the day, focusing on real needs and not just what fits traditional funding.
Monitoring & Evaluation
All projects will have support to monitor progress and outcomes so we can share learning throughout, as well as the process itself.

Funding Amount
There is around £80,000 available in total, but we’re not setting fixed amounts you can apply for. Instead we’re encouraging groups to think creatively and collaboratively about what’s needed to make real change happen.
This isn’t about ‘bidding for a pot’ or fitting your idea into a set budget – it is about designing bold, community-led projects together. It is about starting with the challenge, and working together to shape the right solution. The funding will follow the ideas, not the other way around.
The funding will be agreed at the ‘pitch to panel’ day in September, with open discussions on who would be allocated what (and some negotiations may happen!).

Co-produced solutions
The year, we’re putting lived experience at the heart of everything!
We’re looking for people in Lincolnshire who have faced barriers to health and care – whether that’s difficulty accessing physical health checks, attending appointments, dealing with musculoskeletal issues and being out of work, or struggling with digital exclusion. These are the voices we need in the room! Their insight is vital to shaping projects that genuinely work for communities.
We kindly ask organisations to share the word! Anyone interested should complete the short Expression of Interest form at the top of this page.
We are excited to see what will happen!
