Prime Minister’s Announcement
Improving Numeracy Skills
On Wednesday, Prime Minister Rishi Sunak gave a speech about his five priorities for the coming months. One ambition was to improve numeracy and get all pupils in England to study some form of maths until they were 18.
We know from working with many employees across Health and Social Care, the impact in not having some form of numeracy qualification or numeracy development can have on our healthcare workforce. We also know how this can lower self-esteem and confidence in people’s ambition to move forward in their career. We would like to offer our back to basics confidence building numeracy courses which can lead to a recognised qualification in functional skills that is flexible, achievable and tailored to individuals which is not driven by a curriculum agenda.
